Living with chronic illness is more than a challenge—it’s a full-time, all-consuming job.
I’m in my 50s, married to my best friend and soulmate for over 30 years, and a proud mom of four incredible young adults and 2 beautiful grandbabies. My family means the world to me! I’m also an RN—though my health has taken me away from the bedside, it will always be part of who I am.
Every day, for the past 20 yeats, I navigate life with chronic migraine, rheumatoid arthritis, sacroiliac and lower back pain, along with depression and anxiety. For a long time, I felt deeply alone in that struggle—and it nearly killed me.
Finding connection within the chronically fabulous community didn’t just help—it saved me. My hope is that through sharing my story, no one else has to experience that same loneliness.
This isn’t the life I imagined… but it is My Beautiful Migraine.
Each day, I’m learning to live, to love, and to create within the reality I’ve been given. I love my part-time job as a cabi Stylist and have discovered serving women to find their inner confidence and beauty feeds my soul. Not only are the clothes incredible, on trend, and incredible quality, but getting dressed in an amazing wardrobe is the ultimate self-care. Through graphics, writing, and photography—often created from my bed—I’ve found a way to give this journey a voice. Creativity has become both my therapy and my purpose.
Thank you for being here. ❤️💜💙
